2017 1.5L Scott Harvey Petite Sirah
In Stock
Grown in the mountainous Chapman Syrah Vineyard of Shenandoah Valley, Amador County. This vineyard is a steep rocky decomposed granite west facing slope. Extremely low yields from these highly-stressed mountain vineyards produce first growth quality fruit. The harvest of 2016 produced a small crop of exceptional flavor. Grapes came in with small bunches and berry size allowing for a more extractive vintage.
Produced in a Southern Rhone style. Aged in French oak cooperage to develop a well-rounded wine with up front firmly structured tannins and inky black color.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Aromas of earthy dark fruit of blueberry and blackberry. Savory spices on the mid-palate with that Petite Sirah grippy varietal fruit. Well balanced wine made in the European Old World style to accompany red meat dishes. This is a 15-20 year ager.
