Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
Fruit forward, rich and full flavors expressing both the varietal and the Amador Terroir. This complex, spicy and floral wine has an inky dark color with hints of coffee, licorice, and chocolate finishing with bright red fruit.
Vineyard Notes
100% from Amador County. Amador County is extremely well suited to Tempranillo. Coming from a similar climate area of Spain, Amador County is rapidly becoming known as one of the best wine growing regions in California for Tempranillo. In the mountainous high-elevation vineyards of Amador County, 2021 was a drought year producing small amounts of flavorful extractive wines. Dark and small bunches of berries with good color and red fruit characteristics.
Winemaker Notes
Amador County Tempranillo produces small bunches of high extraction, perfect pH and flavors to produce world class varietal Tempranillo.
