Vineyard/Vintage Notes:  Produced from the Wilderotter vineyard in the Shenandoah Valley of Amador County.  Small yields of flavorful grapes were harvested early to produce a light, low alcohol European style dry Rose of Barbera.

Winemaker’s Notes:  Making this wine gives me a chance to produce a true European type Rosé in a light, crisp and dry style, like the wines we produced while I was working as an apprentice and going to winemaking school in Germany. This wine is made in the German “Weißherbst Kabinett” style. 

Tasting Notes:  Beautiful Rose/Gold color, good balance, slate minerality on the front palate with a fresh crisp finish. Cranberry, strawberry, violets, apple, fresh rain on a dusty road, elegant are all great descriptors for this delicate light picnic Barbera Rose.
